Sterlin Thompson, 25, is a Longmont kid who reached the Rockies this May, a 2022 first-round supplemental pick now in his first big-league stretch — 27 games, batting .232. At Triple-A this season his EV95 of 107.2 sat 81st percentile of the 504 qualified bats we track, well north of the 104.9 median. The engine prints no luck gap for him: that number is measured off major-league results and he has none this season at the level where it would apply. Nothing to call fair or mispriced — just a bat that makes hard contact looking for its foothold.
