Sam Bachman recorded two outs. He gave up six hits and five earned runs in 0.2 innings, and the Angels' lead was gone. Alejandro Osuna's first home run of the season was a three-run line drive to right that capped the eighth. Justin Foscue had already gone deep in the seventh at 111.0 mph and singled in the tying run earlier in the eighth. Jacob deGrom threw five innings, struck out seven, and left with the game tied 2-2. José Soriano matched him with six innings of two-run ball and got the same nothing for it. Peyton Gray worked a clean eighth and took the win. The Rangers didn't need to bat in the ninth.
