Scout’s note

Pages came out of Havana and into the Dodgers' lineup in 2024; he's 25 now, 399 big-league games in, with a WAR of 4.0. The engine reads him clean: EV95 of 106.355 (58th percentile, median 105.8), luck gap of 0.0071 — as close to zero as contact-versus-results gets. He sits No. 220 of 368 on the breakout composite; the board takes 20, so there's nothing to hunt. His .272 average and 21 home runs are what the contact says they are.

Current signals

The read: Pages is tracked, not flagged: an EV95 of 106.4 (58th percentile of the 373 qualified MLB bats we track; median 105.8) with results within 0.007 of what the physics support — nothing owed, nothing borrowed. The boards hunt mispricing, and his price is right. He sits No. 222 of 373 on the breakout composite; the board takes 20.

A base salary under his own reading, and never subtracted from the cash figure above: a signing bonus lands in one and not the other, so the two disagree on most men without either being wrong. And the sheet does not mark which future seasons are GUARANTEED — a club option and a projected arbitration award are both just a number here, so read past the end of the deal as his forecast rather than as money owed.

Two sources, read a month apart, put this guarantee at the same dollar. That is the check, and it passed.

The tax AAV above is his number under the CBA’s own rulebook, not the average we work out from Cot’s total. On a contract with deferred money the two come apart on purpose — and neither is subtracted from the other.

The Bureau on Andy Pages

The scouting press, in their own words

Pages injury stinks and doesn't really help any of the young Dodgers OF'ers break through. Quintero is the most polished defender of the group, but he hasn't reached Double-A yet. Sirota can play center IMO, but it's a steep downgrade from Pages. Edman moving out there seems most
