Hours before anybody throws, a card carries both starters and their season lines, where the two clubs stand, the park’s history, the plate umpire and his grade — and the men in tonight’s dugouts this engine has already taken a public position on. A row marked Lineups in means both managers have filed and the batting orders are on the card already.

Live cards are UNOFFICIAL — transcribed from MLB’s official feed as it happens, reconciled into the permanent record overnight. That upgrade is the whole point, and a game stays on this board until it lands: the reconciled card takes hours to settle, so last night’s finals wait here rather than falling between the two pages.
