Corey Seager has 241 home runs and a career OPS of .861 across 1,233 games, built on a left-handed swing that came out of Charlotte as a 2012 first-round pick and has only gotten stronger. At 32, his EV95 of 107.7 still beats three-quarters of qualified hitters, but what the physics give, the results take away — his luck gap of -0.0648 is worse than 98% of the sample, the widest disconnect on this board. A .227 average and .736 OPS in 102 games for Texas this season is the quietest stretch of a decorated career, even as the ball comes off at top-quartile speed.
