Scout’s note

Jarlin Susana is 6'6", 235 pounds out of Villa Isabela in the Dominican Republic, and at 22 he is already the kind of arm that makes a franchise hold its breath. The page exists because the player matters; the board grade does not. Our stuff model is stability-tested but not outcome-validated, and we will not hang a flag on a big-league arm — even one of the best seasons in the sport — from a tool that has not cleared that bar. His ERA-FIP luck gap did clear ours, so the regression call is filed by hand. Two and two-thirds at Rochester, three strikeouts, a 13.50 ERA: that is context, not the point. The science catches up to the arm, not the other way around.
