Mickey Moniak hit two home runs — a two-run shot in the 1st and a solo in the 3rd — and for a moment Colorado had the lead. San Diego scored nine runs across the 3rd, 4th, and 6th innings. Ramón Laureano's three-run homer in the 4th put the Padres ahead for good, and Jackson Merrill's two-run double in the 6th stretched the lead. Ryan Feltner lasted 4 innings and gave up 6 earned. Germán Márquez allowed 4 earned over 5 innings and got the win. Manny Machado's two-run homer in the 3rd started the rally that erased Colorado's early lead.
