Dansby Swanson drove in seven runs on two home runs — a three-run shot in the sixth and a grand slam in the eighth — and the second one made it 10-3. Nolan McLean struck out nine in six innings and gave up six earned, which is the line of a pitcher who missed bats and still could not miss enough bats. Javier Assad gave up three in five and left with a lead the bullpen never touched. Tyler Ferguson threw two clean innings with two strikeouts to finish it.
