Torrens hit a three-run homer in the second on a 3-1 fastball and singled in another run two innings later — four RBI from a catcher who has spent years fighting for at-bats at the major league level. Sean Manaea walked five in six innings and gave up two runs, because Cleveland kept loading the bases and then leaving them. Eleven men on base, two runs, and three of those stranded runners were in scoring position when the inning ended. Joey Cantillo took the loss after five innings, though two of his five runs were unearned. Carson Benge's home run in the eighth traveled 451 feet. Bo Bichette homered in the third for Cleveland's first run, and nobody else crossed until Bazzana singled in the fifth — and then nobody crossed again.
