Ashcraft is ungraded by design: the stuff model won't flag a big-league arm until the science is outcome-validated, so even a 3.5-WAR debut season gets no board stamp. The Waco native, a second-round pick in 2018, has thrown 165.1 innings for Pittsburgh with a 3.65 ERA and 173 strikeouts, and his 14 wins rank ninth in baseball. The ERA-FIP luck gap did clear the threshold for a hand-filed regression call. The grade waits; the arm doesn't.
