Mederos is 25, a sixth-round pick out of Santa Clara, Cuba in 2022, and the Index has him ungraded — on purpose. Our stuff model is stability-tested but not outcome-validated, so no big-league arm gets a board flag from it, not even with 20 strikeouts in 22 innings and a 3.68 ERA for Atlanta this season. What did clear the bar is the ERA-FIP luck gap, and we file arm regression calls by hand from it.
