Josh Lowe swung at the first pitch he saw from Mike Burrows in the second — a 95.4 mph fastball — and sent it over the left-center wall with two men on, and the Angels never trailed again. Yusei Kikuchi gave up eight hits in four and a third and did not finish the fifth, but Houston could not close the gap. Mike Trout hit his second home run of the year in the fifth, a 109.7 mph line drive, and Yordan Alvarez answered in the same inning with his first — the closest the Astros came to making it a game. Ryan Zeferjahn threw two clean innings in relief of Kikuchi, and Zach Neto added a ninth-inning homer to put the margin at four.
