The 1-0 lead from Luis Robert Jr.'s first-inning homer lasted until the seventh, and then the Mets' bullpen made it worse. Nolan McLean had struck out eight in 6.1 innings and allowed three hits, but Arizona scored four in the seventh on a double, a fielder's choice, a sac fly, and Jorge Barrosa's first triple of the year. Luke Weaver and Luis García faced nine hitters and allowed five runs between them. Eduardo Rodriguez gave Arizona six innings of one-run ball on 102 pitches, and eight strikeouts and three hits in 6.1 innings still left McLean with the loss.
