Dustin May went six innings, allowed one run, struck out four, and left in line for the win — and Alec Burleson's two-run single on an 0-2 sinker in the sixth was the hit that held up. Bo Naylor's two-run double in the seventh briefly tied it at 3-3, but Nathan Church answered with an RBI double in the bottom half. Connor Brogdon gave up three earned runs in 1.1 innings of relief. The Guardians left three men on base all night, and St. Louis stranded twelve.
