Mark Vientos put the Mets ahead in the second with a homer that left the bat at 110.2 mph and traveled 434 feet, and New York didn't score again until the ninth. Jameson Taillon gave up one run over six innings, and Freddy Peralta couldn't survive the sixth — Kelly's three-run homer was the difference. Eight Mets left on base, and Caleb Thielbar struck out two in a clean ninth to end it.
