Seiya Suzuki's fourth-inning double left the bat at 112.9 mph, the hardest contact of the night, and it set up Nico Hoerner's sacrifice fly for the game's first run. Assad needed 85 pitches for six innings — three hits, no runs, five strikeouts — and the Giants never reached him. Landen Roupp left after 4.2 innings and 105 pitches, and Michael Busch's three-run homer off Erik Miller in the fifth made the margin permanent. San Francisco got one run, Bryce Eldridge's ninth-inning homer, when the lead was already five.
