Michael Soroka threw seven innings, allowed two hits, struck out seven, and walked nobody — and he did not factor in the decision. Juan Morillo entered in the eighth and threw 15 pitches, 13 for strikes, and the one that cost him was an 83.8 mph slider that Noelvi Marte drove 413 feet to left center for his second home run of the year. That was the entire difference. Corbin Carroll had given Arizona the lead with a 433-foot home run in the first, and Edwin Arroyo tied it with a single in the third. Arizona left 12 on base. Tony Santillan needed 14 pitches for the save.

A ABS (Automated Ball‑Strike) challenge — filled = overturned
The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.
