Kyle Karros's line-drive double in the ninth tied it, Colorado took the lead in the tenth, and in the eleventh Jimmy Herget gave up one hit and one walk over a full inning and lost on a run that was unearned. Tovar and McCarthy had already done the work of getting Colorado there — a solo home run in the fifth, an RBI single in the sixth — and Ohtani drove in four for Los Angeles, including his 19th on a first-pitch cutter. Eric Henriquez won it by giving up no hits across two innings while walking two.
