Robert Gasser gave up four hits in 7.2 innings and the Cardinals didn't score until the game was already decided. Cooper Pratt legged out his first triple of the season, then came back with his second double — a two-run drive to left in a seventh inning that produced seven runs off Jared Shuster, who allowed five hits and seven earned in 1.1 innings. Nelson Velázquez's two-run homer left the bat at 110.4 mph. Gasser threw 66 strikes out of 94 pitches, and Craig Yoho needed only 10 more to finish it. Pratt drove in two and scored twice — the kind of night a young infielder has been waiting for.
