Rhett Lowder gave up 11 hits in 2.1 innings on 48 pitches, and Colorado scored eight earned runs off him before the third ended. Cole Carrigg's double on an 87.9 mph changeup opened the scoring in the first, and by the end of the second the Rockies had six. Tomoyuki Sugano needed just 77 pitches to get through 6.1 innings on the other side, giving up three.
