Seven innings, no walks, nine strikeouts — and the Angels did not score. Tarik Skubal threw 87 pitches, 60 for strikes, and Spencer Torkelson provided the offense with a three-run home run in the 1st — 420 feet to left-center on a 94.6 mph fastball — and a solo shot in the 5th for his 18th of the season. Grayson Rodriguez took the loss with six earned over four innings, and Colt Keith and Riley Greene each added sacrifice flies to center fielder Mike Trout in the 2nd. Los Angeles had seven hits, left seven on, and did not draw a walk against Skubal or the two relievers who followed him.
