Kody Clemens homered twice — 371 feet to right-center in the 2nd, then again in the 7th — and the Cubs never needed to sweat the details. Miguel Amaya's two-run double in the 2nd gave Chicago its first breathing room, and Pedro Ramírez drove in runs in consecutive innings with a ground-rule double in the 3rd and a single in the 7th. Matthew Boyd gave up three hits and one earned over six innings with four strikeouts, and Taj Bradley took the loss with five earned in five. The Twins had eight hits, scored twice, and left four on base, and Michael Busch's 12th home run started the scoring in the 1st.
