Kyle Leahy struck out eight Rockies across five innings on eighty-two pitches, and the two sacrifice flies St. Louis manufactured in the second were all the offense he needed before Iván Herrera extended the lead with a solo shot in the third. Colorado managed ten hits — Willi Castro's 110.8 mph double the loudest of them — but went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left seven on. Ryan Feltner took the loss despite completing 5.1 innings, and the Cardinals' bullpen covered the final four frames without allowing a run. Riley O'Brien walked one in the ninth but got the save.
