He added a two-run single in the second and another RBI single in the fourth — six driven in by the sixth inning. Foster Griffin gave up one run over six on 101 pitches, struck out six, and handed a lead to a bullpen that did not give it back. Whisenhunt lasted four innings, gave up nine hits and seven runs, and struck out one.
