Houston scored twice in the first off Juan Mejia, who recorded two outs before leaving. Chase Dollander relieved him and allowed one hit over five and a third, striking out nine on eighty-six pitches. Hunter Goodman's fifth home run of the season got Colorado on the board in the fourth, and Tyler Freeman's RBI single in the fifth put them ahead. Victor Vodnik walked one in the ninth but closed it without a hit.
