The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

Patrick Corbin needed 65 pitches to get through five innings and handed over a lead that lasted four outs. Drew Pomeranz came in for the eighth and gave up three hits and a walk, and Lenyn Sosa's two-run double on a 92.7 mph fastball was the blow that turned it. Eloy Jiménez followed with a single to score another. The Angels got one back in the ninth on Yoán Moncada's line drive, but Louis Varland needed one pitch to end it. Pomeranz threw 18 pitches and took the loss, and the night turned on Sosa seeing a 1-1 fastball and not missing it.
