Ryan Jeffers's grand slam — 108.8 mph off the bat, 377 feet to left — scored four in the eighth, and by the end of the inning the Mets had scored three of their own. Craig Kimbrel saw five hitters, gave up two hits and a walk, and the three earned runs on his line were the margin at the end. Brett Baty's first home run of the year, a three-run shot on a 92.8 mph fastball, had given New York its lead in the first. Luis Robert Jr.'s double in the second registered 110.4 mph — nothing else in the game was hit harder. The Twins left twelve on base — eight more than New York — and lost by two.
