Kansas City sent nine men to the plate in the fourth and scored five — a sacrifice fly, a single, a two-run double from Elias Díaz at 110 mph off the bat, and a Michael Massey double to right. Yusei Kikuchi took the loss: five innings, five earned, five strikeouts that couldn't cover one bad inning. Noah Cameron went six and a third for Kansas City, gave up eight hits and three runs, and struck out six. The Angels pulled within three in the seventh on a Zach Neto single, a Mike Trout walk, and a groundout. Lucas Erceg struck out two in the ninth to end it.
