Troy Johnston's RBI single in the fourth — on an 89.4 mph changeup — put Colorado ahead, and Tyrone Taylor's homer in the fifth tied it before Jake McCarthy's RBI single in the seventh put the Rockies back in front. Jose Quintana gave up two hits and one run across 5.1 innings with five strikeouts. Nolan McLean took the loss despite seven strikeouts in five innings, the second time in the afternoon a Mets starter was out-pitched. Victor Vodnik needed fifteen pitches for the save.
