Hunter Goodman homered twice — a solo shot in the fifth and a two-run blast in the seventh — and the first one left the bat at 108.9 mph and traveled 415 feet to left center. But the swing that opened the game was Brett Sullivan's three-run double in the first, which gave Colorado a lead Cincinnati never threatened. Tomoyuki Sugano threw 91 pitches in 5.1 innings, gave up four hits, and didn't allow a run. Jose Trevino pitched the ninth for the Reds and gave up five earned on six hits, which is the kind of line that explains itself.
