Brandon Young gave up ten runs in four innings, and only four were earned — the Orioles' two errors compounded every mistake. Cam Smith's three-run shot in the first came on an 81.6 mph slider, and by the time Yordan Alvarez went deep in the second on a 93.2 mph fastball, the Astros had a working margin. Lance McCullers Jr. struck out nine in six innings and allowed two hits. Dustin Harris drove in three — a two-run single and a sacrifice fly. Pete Alonso's double in the fourth was one of five Baltimore hits. The Orioles left nine on.
