Henry Davis hit his first home run of the season in the fourth inning and his second in the fifth. Two home runs in consecutive at-bats — three RBI between them — and the second one was a line drive to left that scored Konnor Griffin. Bryan Reynolds started it with a home run in the first and tripled in the third, scoring himself on a Ryan O'Hearn single. By the time Brady Singer left after 3.1 innings, he had given up four earned runs. Zach Maxwell replaced him and gave up four more. Mitch Keller did not need the help: seven innings, three hits, one run, six strikeouts, 104 pitches. Marcell Ozuna added a two-run shot in the fifth. Cincinnati's run came on a groundout in the sixth.
