Kumar Rocker threw 43 pitches and recorded six outs — seven hits, five earned, and Dillon Dingler's three-run homer in the first set the tone on an 82.4 mph slider that traveled 443 feet. Keider Montero gave Texas nothing for 6.2 innings, scattering five hits and a single run, and the Rangers never got closer than four runs after the second. Texas left seven on base and managed one run from seven hits. Jake Burger's sixth homer of the year, a 95.5 mph sinker sent to left in the fourth, was the last run Detroit needed. Drew Anderson struck out three over 2.1 innings of two-hit relief to finish it.
