Eighty-eight pitches got Carlos Rodón through 3.2 innings, and he left with the Yankees behind. Vientos doubled home two in the fifth on a 0-1 splitter — Soto and Benge scoring — and grounded out to drive in another in the seventh. David Peterson came in for four innings, struck out eight, and got the win. Brett Baty's double in the fourth left the bat at 111.7 mph. Luke Weaver and Devin Williams covered the last three innings without allowing a run, and the Yankees left eleven on base.
