Cleveland hit six home runs and Cincinnati hit one, and the game was decided by which team could afford to miss the rest. Chase DeLauter's two-run shot in the first came on an 82.9 mph slider, and Kyle Manzardo went deep twice — once in the third on an 81.7 mph sweeper, once in the fifth. Gavin Williams gave Cleveland six innings with two earned and seven strikeouts, throwing 68 strikes in 93 pitches. Elly De La Cruz's 11th home run of the year traveled 400 feet at 109.0 mph off the bat and only made it 2-1 at the time. Brady Singer lasted four innings and left having thrown 86 pitches, and the Reds used four relievers to cover the rest.
