Isaac Paredes hit a 3-2 cutter at 90.9 mph from Zebby Matthews into the left-field seats in the first, scoring Jeremy Peña, and that was the ballgame. Jason Alexander gave Minnesota four hits over six shutout innings with four strikeouts, and the Twins left nine on base. Yordan Alvarez hit a ball 112.3 mph off the bat; Zach Cole hit one 113.9. Both were lineouts, and Minnesota's hardest contact of the night, twice over, stayed in a glove.
