The lead changed five times — twice in the third, twice in the fourth — and by the fifth Cleveland had it and did not give it back. Kyle Manzardo's two-run homer in the fourth answered Paul Goldschmidt's two-run single from the same inning, and José Ramírez doubled in runs in the fifth and the seventh. Camilo Doval came in for the eighth and gave up three earned on four hits, turning a close game into a five-run final. Travis Bazzana's three-run double in the eighth scored three. Joey Cantillo walked three in four innings and left down one.
