Bubba Chandler struck out seven in 5.1 innings, allowed one hit, and still took the loss — because the one hit was Michael Harris II's three-run double on an 89.6 mph sinker. The ball left the bat at 109.5 mph, cleared the bases, and gave Atlanta a lead they did not give back. Spencer Horwitz's solo home run in the first, on a 3-2 slider, was one of two runs Pittsburgh managed all night. Bryce Elder gave the Braves six innings and the bullpen handled the rest, and the Pirates left seven on base.
