Detroit's offense was two hits — one of them a Spencer Torkelson home run in the eighth that made it 3-2, long after the decision had been settled. Bibee allowed both, struck out eight, and walked two across 91 pitches. Jack Flaherty gave up the two runs that held up as the difference in three innings, and the Cleveland bullpen — Hunter Gaddis and Cade Smith — retired six straight to end it. James Outman's first home run of the season was a solo shot in the third. Steven Kwan's sixth-inning single was the run that won it.
