The fourth inning is where it stopped being a game. Washington sent nine men to the plate, scored five runs, and every RBI hit in the burst came on a fastball — Keibert Ruiz and Daylen Lile on first-pitch four-seamers, Nasim Nuñez on a 0-0 heater two batters later. Emerson Hancock threw 59 pitches in four innings and left with the line already written. On the other side, Mikolas needed only 83 to get through seven, walking nobody and allowing three hits. James Wood's 20th home run, a 109.4 mph shot in the first, announced the tone early. Dominic Canzone hit the hardest ball of the night — a 109.9 mph groundout that stayed in the infield.

◆ diamond fills = run scored
⚫ the out it made (1, 2, or 3), in that runner’s box
2‑4 a runner retired on the bases (caught stealing, picked off), written small in his box as the chain that got him
one dot per run driven in (RBI)
PH · PR · → a substitute badged by his name — pinch hitter, pinch runner, or defensive sub
A ABS (Automated Ball‑Strike) challenge — filled = overturned
The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.
