Yordan Alvarez's 25th home run of the year came in the first inning, 106.5 mph to right-center, and it was the run that held. Kai-Wei Teng gave Houston six innings and allowed one earned — Travis Bazzana's groundout in the fifth — while Slade Cecconi matched him with two runs over six. Josh Hader needed nine pitches for the save, eight of them strikes. Cleveland managed four hits and was a run short for the last eight innings.
