Colorado's bullpen gave up four earned runs in an inning and two-thirds, and that's where a 2-1 Rockies lead became an 8-6 final. Michael Lorenzen left after five and a third with four earned on his line, and Juan Mejia came in and gave up four more. Bryan Reynolds hit a three-run homer at 107.0 mph in the seventh that broke it open, and TJ Rumfield's three-run shot in the eighth only narrowed a gap the Rockies never closed. Pittsburgh got four scoreless relief innings from Yohan Ramírez and Evan Sisk.
