Jacob Misiorowski walked four and struck out eight in six innings, and the only run against him was Seiya Suzuki's fifth-inning home run on a 90.1 mph slider. He threw 107 pitches — 69 for strikes. Garrett Mitchell's two-run homer in the sixth, off a 92.2 mph cutter, was his sixth of the year. William Contreras added a two-run shot in the seventh that left the bat at 109.3 mph and traveled 449 feet. Cooper Pratt got his first double of the season. Colin Rea matched Misiorowski for five innings — one run each — before the Cubs' bullpen gave it away. Trevor Megill walked one in the ninth. The Cubs had three hits.
