Petey Halpin had not homered all season. He hit two in three innings — a two-run shot in the second and a solo blast in the fourth — and Cleveland's lineup put up 19 hits behind him. Joe Ryan threw 78 pitches, 55 for strikes, and lasted four innings with eight earned runs. Tanner Bibee gave Minnesota two runs over six innings on the other side. Rhys Hoskins added two home runs of his own. By the time Woo-Suk Go allowed three runs in the seventh, the game had been decided for an hour.
