Lopez threw 91 pitches to get through five, and only fifty of them were strikes — but Minnesota managed one hit against him and nothing after he left. Zebby Matthews matched him inning for inning until the fifth, when Lawrence Butler's sacrifice fly scored Donovan Walton, and Tyler Soderstrom's sixth-inning single added the second. The Twins put eight runners on base and crossed none of them. José Suarez cleaned it up with five outs on twelve pitches. Hogan Harris needed ten to close it. Geoff Hartlieb walked three in a third of an inning and did not allow a run.
