Hunter Greene threw 89 pitches and the Cardinals scored seven times off him in five and a third innings. Andre Pallante needed one more pitch — 90 — to go seven and allow two hits, both singles. Iván Herrera doubled home two in the sixth, Blaze Jordan singled home two more, and Nathan Church laid down a sacrifice bunt that scored another. By the time Sam Moll got the last out of the sixth, St. Louis had batted around. The Reds had three hits and left six on base. Gordon Graceffo threw two innings of one-hit relief behind Pallante. Greene struck out three, walked two, and the line is permanent.
