Dean Kremer gave up eight earned runs in four innings — 81 pitches, 45 strikes — and left with the score 8-0. Colt Keith's two-run triple in the first started it, Eduardo Valencia homered in the second and singled in a run in the third, and Gleyber Torres doubled in two and homered for two more. Troy Melton gave up three hits over seven shutout innings, struck out five, and threw 92 pitches in a game he led from the first batter. Baltimore's three hits were all they managed, and Ty Madden pitched two hitless innings to finish the shutout.
