Brent Suter walked three in two innings without giving up a hit. Jake Bauers' twentieth home run, a 107.6 mph drive to right center in the fourth, was the only offense either team managed until the eighth, when Brice Turang singled in Jackson Chourio on a 1-2 slider. Cooper Pratt added an insurance run in the ninth with a single to center. Chad Patrick struck out five in two perfect innings, and Robert Gasser's five innings of one-run ball held the line until the bats arrived.
