A complete game at Coors Field: Kyle Freeland threw 115 pitches, struck out eight, walked two, and allowed one earned run across nine innings. Seth Lugo walked five in five innings, gave up five earned, and took the loss. Brett Sullivan's two-run double in the sixth was the hit that broke it open, and Jake McCarthy followed with a three-run homer. The Royals scored once in the second and did not score again.
