Cade Povich gave up seven hits over six innings and the Angels never scored while he was on the mound. Grayson Rodriguez gave up three hits over seven innings for Los Angeles, and two of them scored on Pete Alonso's single in the third. The Angels cut it to one on Vaughn Grissom's double in the eighth, and Tyler O'Neill homered in the same inning to push the lead back to two. The Angels finished with eleven hits, nine left on base, and one run — and the hardest ball they hit all night, Christian Encarnacion-Strand's lineout at 109.3 mph, found a glove instead of grass.
